This week, the PSU Norseman had the first home playoff game in the history of the program against Salve Regina. With a tough 48-10 lose to Salve in the regular season a couple of weeks ago, the team was excited to get another shot at them. While the team played amazing defense holding Salve to only five points the entire game the first half was a slow start for Plymouth offensively.
The second half the Norseman turned it on and controlled the ball a majority of the half. Battling the whole game, it came down to the final two minutes. Plymouth’s Seif Sonbaty scored the game winning try. With the extra point kick converted, PSU was now up by two points with thirty seconds remaining in the game. The ball was kicked into touch and the game clock ran out. The PSU Norseman are now headed to the conference championship. They will be facing off against Roger Williams on November 2nd with the chance to make it to the nation championships.
